  • What is Balloons & Tunes?

    A lively festival of live music performances and hot air balloons from across the region. Starting at 5pm, attendees can enjoy live music and the start-to-finish set up of hot air balloon pilots culminating with a balloon glow at dusk. Hot air balloon pilots will set-up, ignite and fill balloons throughout the evening providing a up-close look into the hot air balloon process.

  • Where is the event located?

    Balloons & Tunes is held at the Kentucky Wool Festival grounds located in rural Pendleton County between Falmouth and Butler adjacent to Kincaid Lake State Park. For navigation, please use:

  • What is the cost for admission?

    $10 per person

    Kids 5 and under are FREE

    CASH ONLY

  • Will there be balloon rides?

    Yes! Throughout the evening, there will be two tethered balloons providing rides to attendees for a cost of $15 per rider.

    Balloon ascension height is dependent on weather and other factors pilots must consider for the safety of attendees.

  • Who are the musicians performing?

    Stay tuned! We’re actively looking for 2025 musicians!

  • What food options will be there?

    Stay tuned; we’re actively looking for vendors for the 2025 event.

  • Will there be seating?

    There will be no seating aside from limited bleachers in select areas away from the balloons. We recommend brining your own blanket or folding chairs.

  • Can I bring pets?

    Please, no pets.

    For the safety of attendees, cleanliness of the grounds and interference with balloons, pets are not permitted.

  • Can I bring outside food or drink?

    No outside food, drink or coolers; please bring cash to patronize the onsite food/drink vendors.

    No, alcohol is not permitted on the Kentucky Wool Festival grounds.
